Meet Inés

I have had a long-life fascination with languages which eventually led me to build a career around teaching and translation, making language education my life's work.

I hold a PGCE from the University of Sussex, an MA in Applied Translation, and a BA (Hons) in Philology. I'm also an Edexcel GCSE examiner, which means I mark real exam papers every year and know exactly what examiners are looking for.

Over more than 20 years of tutoring, I've helped hundreds of students build real confidence and fluency in Spanish — from nervous beginners to A-Level students aiming for the top grade. I've taught every age group and adapted my approach for children, teenagers and adults alike. Alongside private tutoring, I spent many years teaching Spanish in UK secondary schools, most recently as second in department — experience that keeps my teaching sharp, current and exam-focused.

I believe learning a language should feel achievable, not overwhelming. My lessons are structured, exam-focused and mapped precisely to your specification — but they're also warm and encouraging, because students learn best when they feel confident enough to make mistakes.

Outside of teaching, I love reading, travelling, and getting outdoors whenever I can — which, living in Valencia, usually means the beach or the mountains within the same afternoon.
